Mini piling machine is a specialist way of strengthening foundations for buildings and structures. It involves drilling small-diameter piles into the ground, making it a cost-effective solution for a range of construction projects. This includes underpinning existing buildings and creating structural extensions. It’s also an ideal method for building in confined spaces where access is restricted and can be carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
Restricted Access Sites
The specialised equipment we use for our mini piling services allows us to operate in sites with width and height restrictions. This means we can create foundations in locations where larger piling rigs would not be able to operate. For example, we recently worked on a project where the working space was restricted to a single doorway. Using a 1.7 tonne mini piling rig, we managed to install bottom driven steel cased micro piles in the required location despite operating through a tight 4.5m headroom restriction.
Our mini piling rigs are equipped with a telescopic drill pipe, depth indicator, automated mast lift – box type, auto vertical adjuster and hydraulic crawler chassis. These features help them to be highly maneuverable and make the rigs easy to control.
They are also PLC controlled, which means the piling process is constantly monitored by sensors and any potential problems can be identified before they cause a failure in the machine. This reduces downtime and ensures the project runs as planned. They are also designed to work with a low noise and vibration output.
